7. Knife Care And Safety:

1. Always store your knife in specially designed case, box, knives valet or in a magnetic rack.

2. While moving your knives transport them in their appropriate box or case.

3. When carrying a knife always point it downwards and hold it close to your body.

4. If passing the knife to your colleague always offer them the handle side first.

5. Never leave a knife on a work surface with blade upwards.

6. Never try to catch a falling knife, let it come to rest on the ground before you pick it up.

7. Never use a knife as a can opener.

8. Only use a knife on a chopping board which has a wet cloth underneath.

9. Never leave a knife in a sink, wash it and remove immediately.
